Fazeley Events oversees a portfolio of unique, character rich and versatile event venues in Digbeth, which are an exciting alternative to run of the mill corporate spaces and ‘cookie cutter’ wedding venues. We appeal to engaged couples or event organisers who are looking for a stunning, stylish and memorable venue to stand out from the crowd.
Fazeley Events runs two beautifully restored iconic venues that are ingrained in Birmingham’s history. They both date back date back over 150 years to the industrial revolution, in the days when Birmingham was known as the workshop of the world.
The Custard Factory is set in a collection of Victorian riverside factories in which Alfred Bird manufactured his infamous instant eggless custard (invented 1837) and exported it around the world.
Whilst all of this was happening at the Custard Factory, things were busy across the road in Fazeley Street and Floodgate Street too. AB Phipson designed a Unitarian Sunday School in 1865 and a Unitarian chapel opened next door to it in 1876, designed by architect George Ingall. Today these buildings have been breathtakingly transformed to create the Grand Gallery reception and Suite 7 conference room at Fazeley Studios.
Both The Custard Factory and Fazeley Studios have been lovingly and sensitively restored to retain their period features and charming character, but with a distinctive, imaginative design aesthetic befitting their place as the anchor sites of Birmingham’s trendy creative quarter.
Fazeley Events is Born
Fazeley Events started life in 2010, initially offering a range of parties in Birmingham, wedding services for couples, AND meetings/small conferences solutions to SMEs – but demand for our events quickly grew, resulting in large brands now coming to Digbeth for their corporate events.
Fazeley Events Today
Today, we are able to cater for large bespoke, 600-strong events across our venues in Digbeth. In a short space of time we have built up a solid reputation for hosting successful events, attracting a large number of high-end brands and companies to the revolutionary area of Birmingham. Lloyds TSB, Honda, Nandos, Clarins, Red Bull, New Look, Argos, Goldsmiths, NHS, Conservative Party and National Grid, have all hosted events at Fazeley Studios and The Custard Factory.
In 2016 alone, we hosted over 70 weddings at Fazeley Studios. The venue have become a hugely popular choice for couples who are on the hunt for a venue that offers both beauty and versatility along with bags of character.
Fazeley Studios has even appeared in British Vogue as an international recommended wedding venue and was a regional finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards 2014.
